In September 2009 Tim will give a presentation on recovery of General Average Claims under hull as machinery policies at a seminar in St. Petersburg being organised by Remedy Lais Firm.

In June 2009 Tim gave a presentation on General Average and Piracy at the International Marine Insurance forum in Moscow attended by 87 delegates from 15 countries round the world.

On 20th October 2006, Tim Madge gave a presentation at the Marine Law and Insurance 2006 conference organized by Insurance-Today, a leading Russian Insurance information company, which was attended by over 120 delegates from Insurance Companies and Ship-owners.

Tim compared the York Antwerp Rules 2004 with the earlier versions in 1974 and 1994, which are still in common use, and pointed out the main disadvantages and some benefits of the new rules so far as Hull and Cargo Underwriters and Ship-owners are concerned.

A similar conference was held last year and delegates from over 40 insurance companies and shipping companies attended.
